Megwin is Green Mantle, protector of all living things and member of the powerful college of the Mantles. She travels through the five kingdoms with her horse and fox and the power of the mantles to protect her, restoring the balance of nature and unravelling the mystery of a deadly curse. This is the second chronicle of the Mantles (after Silver Mantle) but is a stand-alone book as well. Megwin has advanced to the Green Mantle, the green standing for the earth and all that lives and flourishes there.
