| STATUS REPORTS |
| |
As you browse our website you will be informed of the stock status of particular titles. If you are unsure what the status means, an explanation will pop up when your mouse cursor moves over it. Please note: From time to time however we can have multiple orders come in between website updates so status reports for a short period of time may be inaccurate, which means a title listed as "In Stock" may need to go to backorder.

| Author: Christine Wenke |
Chris Wenke was raised on a farm in central New South Wales. She has spent most of her working life doing administrative work in schools. She is married with two sons and lives in Albury on the NSW/Victorian border. Her life and experience in schools have given her an intuitive understanding of adolescent attitudes and outlook, which comes across strongly in her novel. She also has an abiding interest in local history, and her novel includes a sub-plot loosely based on the exploits of the bushranger Ben Hall in the country around Forbes, NSW. Her unpublished short story, The Tree was shortlisted for the Glen Eira My Brother Jack Prize, and was highly commended at the Henry Lawson Festival. My Sixteenth Summer is her first novel to be published. Her second novel Willa’s Secret is due for release as a Takeaways in July 2004 and is also to be published by Lothian Books.
